Call for Abstracts
Building on the success of 2010’s inaugural conference that attracted approximately 100 researchers and industry representatives from 12 states, the Midwestern Conference on Health Games seeks high-quality abstracts to be considered for conference presentation as part of this year’s program.
Abstracts may include case studies, scientific research papers, panel discussions, lectures, posters or tutorials.
The abstract submission deadline is July 8, 2011. Abstracts selected for presentation will be notified by July 29, 2011.
Successful abstracts should focus on one of the following topics:
- Active/Exer- Gaming
- Rehab/Physical Therapy – Wii-hab
- Medical Training and Simulation
- Cognitive Health Gaming
- Behavioral Gaming
- Hybrid Gaming
- Health Education Games
- Health Effects of Games
- Human-Computer Interaction in Health Games
- Effectiveness of Health Games
- Evaluation Aspects of Health Games
- Tools and Technologies for Health Games Design and Deployment
- Game Design and Design Theory
- Entertainment Psychology and Theory
Abstracts will be peer-reviewed and authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper to be published in the online conference proceedings.
